EDWIN EDVANZD

Edwin EdVanzd began his craft the old-fashioned way; on stage, building a strong theatrical foundation before making the leap to film as Young Willie Mays in HBO’s Soul of the Game. That debut opened doors to major productions including Paramount Pictures’ We Were Soldiers and Dozier, combined with television appearances on ER, Chicago Med, The Chi and Emperor of Ocean Park.

Never straying far from his roots, Edwin returned to the stage in acclaimed productions such as Direct from Death Row: The Scottsboro Boys, August Wilson’s Joe Turner’s Come and Gone and Suzan-Lori Parks The Book of Grace, earning rave reviews and a prestigious NAACP Award, among others.

 

Behind the scenes, Edwin leads EdVanzd Media, developing film, TV, theater and music projects, including the multi award-winning documentary Target: St. Louis, Vol. 1.
